by christina britt lewis there is a lot that was great about this room before, but we were going for a more kick your shoes off, grab a good book and a glass of red wine sort of vibe. a bigger rug with richer colors feels more welcoming and cozy too. this is before... the people who live here love the beach. so we gave them art that would take them to their happy place every day... when you ask us for a fancy rooster for the kitchen, we will find you the fanciest rooster we can and place it proudly on your counter. what makes you happy, makes us happy... to be continued...
wanna see why we've been so quiet for the past six weeks? we have been very busy making this beautiful house a home for some very lovely people. there is nothing we love more than helping people see beauty in what they already have, but in this case we started from scratch. the before photos show the previous owner's furnishings... the prettiest thing to put in a vase in your foyer is often growing in your own front yard... the boxwood topiaries are real and dried. we love how fun and happy they are. we love the traditional chairs with the rustic table too. it's a nice juxtaposition and gives me an opportunity to use the word "juxtaposition". often, art and mirrors are too small for the space leaving you feeling like you need more stuff to make things feel welcoming and finished. you don't need more stuff. just go big...or go home. hehehe... to be continued...
