• a painter paid us in trade.  we are grateful every time we walk upstairs and see halcyon green on the walls we didn’t have a ladder to reach.

• a teacher paid us with a target gift certificate she had received as an end of year gift from her class.

• a couple who already live and love quite well pay us to cook for them because they can’t come up with any more projects for us to do and they want to support us.

• a retired couple paid us our typical $100 per hour, but paid in monthly installments for 6 months.

• a small business owner, who knows we don’t believe in overhead, paid tim in office space to meet with clients.

• a wife and mom asked for 2 hours of christina’s time for a birthday gift from her husband. christina loved to work for someone so appreciative. she worked 5 or so hours for each 1 she billed.

• a husband and dad paid tim in breakfasts at showmars because that’s where he felt comfortable meeting and that’s what he could comfortably afford at the time.

• a big business owner paid us $300 per hour with the understanding that we would work for a person who was unable to pay anything at all.

• a couple did not want to file a claim with their insurance company, so they paid tim their insurance co-pay amount.

• a realtor paid us with a week at his cottage in folly beach (we love the beach!)

• a family member believes so strongly in what we do that he has offered to give whatever moolah we need whenever we need it so that we can keep on keepin’ on.  we have never needed his generosity.
