by christina britt lewis kelly and i go home at the end of every tuesday and thursday and wait. some people text right away. some people text the next morning. as proud as we are of every redesign, the most important thing is the happiness of the people. we mean it when we say that we are not happy if you are not happy. so we wait. 99% of the people have loved everything for like fifteen years, but we still hold our breath a little. we didn't wait long last thursday, her happy text came right away. people say the sweetest things. they cry. we cry. redesign is emotional business. to finally love coming home is life changing. kelly and i sunk a little deeper into our sofas and texted each other fist bumps and dancing women. it doesn't get much better than that. until it does... the next day we got an email from him... Dear Christina and Kelly, I was driving home on Thursday excited to see what was done. The left side of my brain was saying "I can't wait", while the right side was saying "don't expect too much" and "how can we possibly get our money's worth on this?" Let me just say, I'm sitting in our office, looking out the window, breathing deep, drinking coffee and asking: "Why didn't we have you in a long time ago?" Earlier, when I woke up in our bed, all I could think about was how nice our room is. Ok - we replaced a queen with a king, we now have MORE storage, its beautiful AND it feels way bigger AND we have open space...C'mon, thats impossible! I absolutely love our living room. I actually feel like we have some style and it is so comfortable - I can now lay on the chaise and watch TV! There is a flow to the style. Our place is now really cool! Thank you for exceeding our expectations... The left side of my brain is now saying to the right side, you got your ### kicked on this one! Thanks, (Happy Client) before... after... dear happy client, thank you for one of the greatest emails we ever received. thank you for telling your story. we are so happy you and yours are so happy. you got me thinking about how we are all just waiting for something. you got remembering "oh the places you'll go" by dr. seuss... The Waiting Place… …for people just waiting. Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go or the mail to come or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow or waiting around for a Yes or No or waiting for their hair to grow. Everyone is just waiting. Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite or waiting around for Friday night or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake or a pot to boil, or a Better Break or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants or a wig with curls, or Another Chance. Everyone is just waiting. NO! That’s not for you! Somehow you’ll escape all that waiting and staying. You’ll find the bright places where the Boom Bands are playing. With banner flip-flapping, once more you’ll ride high! Ready for anything under the sky. Ready because you’re that kind of a guy! Oh, the places you’ll go! what if we stopped waiting? making homes happy, christina for everyone at the redesign company Comments are closed.
