her redesign was our most popular. like ever. she left the best review on houzz. she was happy that we were able to take her "vague and clumsily articulated thoughts" and translate them into exactly what she wanted. that is the thing we do best. we are so not interior designers. hehehe...we love being "vague thought translators". and we love the artistic freedom you give us when you let us kick you out for the day, get barefoot, turn up the avett brothers, and make art. but we also totally get that sometimes it is more fun for you when we give you a sneak peek... her fabulous super hero art and her funky rug were our inspiration for this teenager's room. she's fun and funky with fabulous taste in shoes. she's a black belt who appreciates a spectacular chandelier. i want to be her when i grow up. here is the inspiration board angela made for her... but ikea can break your heart. the thing you go there to get is rarely there. you have to go to ikea knowing you will redesign your redesign a time or two before you make it to the cinnamon rolls. the charlotte observer interviewed me about how to shop ikea without your heart breaking when ikea first came to charlotte. this time, they did not have the butterfly pillow or the window treatments. but they had the chandelier. hallelujah, they had the chandelier! we don't get sad at ikea anymore. after 10 years we know... plan b trumps plan a her collections in those vases we all have way up high in a kitchen cabinet... if you know ikea, you know that chandelier was the biggest, hardest puzzle to put together you ever did see. i would still be there cursing the millions of pieces all over the floor if not for the brilliant and beautiful, kelly. don't you love how she matches the room? we totally planned that. hehehe... happy friday, beautiful people! big hugs and sloppy kisses... christina angela kelly uncle bill (who just rolled his eyes when we asked him to get his feet in the shot) Comments are closed.
