by christina britt lewis we are completely obsessed with client happiness. so much so that we consider ourselves happiness makers and not interior designers. the truth is, you guys, you don't have to be super talented to make a pinterest perfect home. anybody can copy a catalog. but... to make a home that expresses who you are and what you love... to make a home that feels all YOU and not all the joneses... to make a home that makes you happy... to make a home that you LOVE takes some fearlessness. first you have to figure out what you love. this is why when kelly and i come for an initial consultation we never ask stuff like... what is your style? are you a fixer upper fan? do you follow any design blogs? blah, blah, blah... we ask you stuff like... if you were given a free trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go? when was a time in your life when you felt most alive? what are you doing when the whole world fades away and you lose track of time? if money didn't matter and you could do and be anything, what would you do and be? where is your favorite place in the whole wide world? then we sit back and listen to your stories. then we kick you out for a bit while we do our brainstorming and planning and designing. what you don't hear (or maybe you do :-) is us asking each other over and over... what will SHE love? or HE... or THEY... we believe in happiness for all people. and pets. pets too. and that is why you hear in our houzz reviews... how did they know??? they were only there for an hour, yet somehow they made my home feel all ME! we know because you tell us and we listen. we know because deep down in your soul... YOU know... everything you really need, you already have. before... after... before... after... before... after... before... after... before... after... dancers, real plants, and a toucan because SHE loves dancing, the rainforest, and costa rica. what do YOU love? before... after... before... after... before... after... said it before and will say it again because my mom said it changed her life... fear not the real plant. real plants are everything. they bring life to a room. they are good for your mind, body, and soul. think of them the way you think of fresh flowers. love them for as long as they last and do not grieve them when they go. they are a super affordable way to make your home beautiful. and eventually you will find ones that stick around for a whole long time. xo... christina for all Comments are closed.
