by christina britt lewis photography by angela statzer when people ask us to do a nursery i usually try to talk them out of it. the thing is, i had babies once. and then i blinked. now i live with men who do not even have the decency to pretend they remember the michelangeloesque clouds tim and i spent many weekends hand painting on their ceilings. so spending a ton of time and moolah on a nursery is a waste of time and moolah, in my mind. because that changing table is not going to pass for a dresser someday. no self respecting kindergartner wants to sleep in that convertible crib you try to sell as his "big boy bed". and that mural you are imagining will give your three year old nightmares. but these people get that. this is their second little monkey. so they know...
