the worst year of our life was followed by the best year of our life. 2014 kicked ass. we got to help so many see beauty in what they already have thanks to angela and kelly and uncle bill. we got to help people love coming home in connecticut and dallas and austin. we won the BOB award for the 4th year in a row thanks to so many of YOU... we christmas cruised in 2013 to escape reality. we christmas cruised in 2014 to celebrate reality. big. beautiful. difference... but... we still make plenty of mistakes. in 2014... we let somebody down and got a scathing review on houzz. we gave too much time to work and not enough time to friends. we bit off more than we could chew and lost a couple of clients. we bit off more than we could chew and gained more pounds than ever before. hell, we even missed our flight to florida and road-tripped all night to catch our ship. *sigh* the thing is... when you choose to believe that things don't happen TO you, they happen FOR you, mistakes are merely a plot twist in your life story. because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. you're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're doing something. so that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. make new mistakes. make glorious, amazing mistakes. make mistakes nobody's ever made before. don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. whatever it is you're scared of doing, do it. make your mistakes, next year and forever. - neil gaiman and us may 2015 be the best year of your life! xo... christina and tim Comments are closed.
